Jan 17th 2013, 05:19

Life on the road is tough, y’all. This week’s Nashville finds Rayna and Juliette only a few dates into their “Red Lips White Lies” tour, and they’re already having to endure sulking soon-to-be-ex-husbands, lonely mayoral candidates wanting a little attention and guitarists who – despite Rayna’s best efforts — refuse to be Deacon. Read on for the major developments that take place in “I’m Sorry for You, My Friend.”

RELATED | Nashville Scoop: Will Ming-Na Steal Rayna Away?

IN ABSENTIA | Rayna misses Deacon. Everyone knows it. Buddy knows it. Liam knows it. Both of the guitarists Rayna has fired know it. But while Deacon’s still on the road with the Revel Kings (more on that later), she’s going to have to make do with a strummer with whom she doesn’t share decades of history, a past romantic relationship and possibly a daughter. Hipster producer Liam! Yeah, you’ll do. She begs him to join her band, which he does very reluctantly and only as a favor. She buys him cowboy boots to celebrate, but is bummed when she notices he won’t wear them. “I put ‘em on, I clicked my heels three times, and I didn’t turn into Deacon,” he teases her, adding that she’s afraid to go on tour without her biggest back-up player. Oh Liam, you wry teller of truth!

Meanwhile, back in Nashville, Teddy and Coleman are in a dead heat with just a few days before the mayoral election. Rayna pays a lot of lip service to the idea of flying home for the big night, but she’s totally not into it. So we’re subjected to a few scenes that boil down to this: Coleman and his wife are in true wuv and will be just fine, even if he loses; Teddy is a sad-sack emotional cuckold watching the news alone in bed while his wife puts on a show for strangers hundreds of miles away. (I do love, though, how Rayna seems glowingly content on stage – at least in this episode. That’s her happy place, even without old Deke. Or maybe it’s just the bajillion sequins on her shirt making her face light up like that? Either way: pretty!)

At the last moment, Ray-Ray changes her mind and flies home in time to be there for Teddy’s big win. Yep, that’s Mayor Sad-sack Emotional Cuckold to you – and Lamar swears he listened to Teddy and didn’t buy any votes to make it happen. Yeah, right. (Side note: Anyone else think the way Lamar and Tandy were standing near each other at the victory party was a little… inappropriate for a father and daughter?) (Another side note: Teddy’s victory party was held in a venue that looked a lot like the one where Elaine Barrish gave her concession speech, didn’t it?) Everyone but Teddy goes home, which makes it very easy for Peggy to show up at his campaign’s hotel suite later. Though she touches his face and it’s clear they both want more, she leaves… for now.

MRS. NO MORE | Juliette wants a divorce. Sean wants an annulment. She goes through a lot of foot-stomping – including flying her private jet out to meet him getting off the team bus, sending him really vague messages through Country Music Television (no joke) and taking “Love Like Mine” (aka the song they crooned together on her plane) off her set list – before she agrees to do things his way. The marriage was a fraud, she admits, because she lured him into it under false pretenses. Once everything’s settled, she finally apologizes, but the tormented Tebow doesn’t want to hear it. “You once told me I wouldn’t like you very much if I got to know you,” he says as their lawyers hash things out in an adjacent room. “You were right.” Ooh, emotionally stunted burn!

AVERY’S AVARICE | Scarlett’s ex, apparently not one for cuddling, wants to talk about his contract just moments after he and Marilyn finish a session between the sheets. He’s ready to sign with Dominic, but she advocates negotiating for more money. Guess which bullheaded, floppy-haired member of that little party gets his way? Dominic spins a tale about how Marilyn’s only looking out for herself, which is enough for Avery to sign with him and happily drive away in a “bonus” convertible – “instead of a six-figure advance,” a frustrated Marilyn notes. Showing his true colors, Avery very nastily informs her that she can get on board or get left behind.

I SHOT A MAN IN RENO JUST TO WATCH HIM DIE | Okay, maybe Gunnar’s brother Jason didn’t actually kill anyone. But he did do eight years in jail for armed robbery – a crime that we learn Gunnar barely escaped being part of – and Gunnar’s there when his big bro is released. After a road trip with Scarlett, whom he drops in Austin to see Deacon’s Revel Kings show, Gunnar and Jason hang out at a motel. They spend exactly enough time together to sing a partial duet of Merle Haggard’s “Lonesome Fugitive” and for Jason to hock Gunnar’s guitar, buy a gun and take off. Yes, it happens just about that quickly. Something about the pace of the guys’ scenes feels rushed, and their singing, while lovely, is the first time that a song feels shoehorned into a Nashville scene – for me, at least. (Thoughts? Hit the comments.) When Gunnar and Scarlett rendezvous in Austin the next day, she lets him know she’d love to hear all about it – and anything else – whenever he wants to talk.

TOURING’S A BITCH, AND THEN THERE’S CY | As the Revel Kings tour bus prepares to leave its pre-Austin stop, Deacon gives his old music journalist friend a perfectly lovely kiss but deters her from meeting him later on in the tour. Seeing an opportunity, Cy steps in with his slickest moves but gets shot down hard. (Lame, yes, but not character assassinating, right? The only other less-than-cool thing we’ve seen the Kings lead singer do is act a little threatened around Deacon, yes? OK. Keep that in mind.) At the Austin concert venue, Cy takes a shine to a starstruck Scarlett. And by the end of the episode, he’s got her trapped in the band’s private lounge, where he attempts to force himself on her while a bodyguard tries to keep a raging Deacon from getting inside. (My notes from this scene: “Whaaaa?”) Finally Uncle Deke busts in and decks the suddenly sleazy singer, but not before Scarlett plants a firmly upthrust knee into Cy’s Big & Rich. Deacon shouts that he’s quitting; Cy replies that he’s fired. And, scene! And also, huh? Was I so busy singing into my hairbrush to “Telescope” that I missed the episode where Cy became a total cretin?

Now it’s your turn. Did this episode feel a bit disjointed to you? Do you want to know the story behind Gunnar’s (almost) life of crime? Are you worried about Deacon? And is there any way at all that Juliette actually ran those stadium steps and still left the venue looking so spring fresh? Sound off in the comments!

Hollywood Life: ‘American Idol’ Recap: Nicki Minaj & Mariah Carey Fight At Auditions

thumbnail 'American Idol' Recap: Nicki Minaj & Mariah Carey Fight At Auditions
Jan 17th 2013, 05:01

‘American Idol’ is back and in full swing. Get ready for a season of new judges, hidden talent — and a lot of tone deaf contestants. Sounds like fun, right, HollywoodLifers?

The twelfth season of American Idol kicked off Jan. 16, and with it came new judges Nicki Minaj, Keith Urban, Mariah Carey, and the beginning of weeks worth of drama. I wonder if Ryan Seacrest and Randy Jackson know what they’re in for?

The two-night premiere started with my personal favorite part of the whole show: the auditions. Let’s take a look at the judges, America’s next stars and some people we’d rather forget.

Who Was Terrible

The auditions are all about separating the good from the bad — and there were plenty of ‘em in New York City.

Fifteen-year-old James Bae admitted he sings in his room in preparation for his sure-to-be filled concert halls. This Bielieber attempted to sing Justin Bieber‘s “One Less Lonely Girl,” but the outcome reminded me less of the Biebs and more so of former Idol auditioner William Hung. Although the judges broke James’s heart with four no’s, he claims he wasn’t disappointed because “in the end, Nicki Minaj kissed me.” So really, the day wasn’t a total waste, right?

Self-proclaimed ladies man Benjamin Gaisey squeaked with every step he took. No it wasn’t his voice — it was the plastic, red jumpsuit he wore to his audition. As if that wasn’t enough, Benjamin wore a wonderfully horrible Tom Jones-inspired wig, too. After performing a weird mash up of love songs to Nicki and Mariah, he got a resounding no. Was he a serious contender? No way. Was he entertaining? Heck yes.

Queens native Albert Chang works in a medical office, but he has dreams of being a singer. And they will remain just that — dreams. The 25 year old sang/mumbled a disturbingly high-pitched version of “Phantom of the Opera.” I was confused, scared and horribly entertained. Let’s just say it was hard for both Nicki and me to keep the laughs contained.

Who Impressed Me

But not to despair. Not everybody was completely and utterly tone deaf. There were some rays of hope!

Doting Mariah fan Tenna Torres didn’t just bring her voice to the auditions; she also brought photos of her and Mariah taken at a camp she attended as a child. Tenna rocked the entire panel with Carole King‘s “You’ve Got a Friend” and got four yes’s. Solid start to the night.

Christina Isabelle strolled in with a voice I will never forget. After her rockin’ performance of “Summertime,” she took a sigh of relief and said, “I can’t believe I just did that!” Me neither! With the power of Christina Aguilera and the soft tone of Norah Jones, Christina is someone to look out for. Nicki even said, “I think you’re going to go really far in this competition.” Agreed.

So we all know American Idol uncovers hidden talents, but did you know it saves foreign superstars? Former Israeli pop singer Shira Gavrielov released her first CD at 17, had a No. 1 hit in Israel and got four yeses from the American Idol judges. Looks like second chances do exist!

Brooklyn native Frankie Ford went from singing for quarters on the train to singing for some of America’s biggest stars in one day. With a round of yes’s from the judges, Frankie got his golden ticket. And just like that, “Frankie goes to Hollywood.”

Country and Jersey aren’t two words I normally associate together, but 17-year-old blueberry farmer Sarah Restuccio made me reconsider.  Sarah rocked both Carrie Underwood‘s “Mama’s Song” and Idol judge Nicki’s “Super Bass.” I think there is a new meaning to “Jersey girls.”

The Turbanator has come. No, this isn’t a bad Arnold Schwarzenegger movie, it’s the nickname of Idol-hopeful Gurpreet Singh Sarin, who matches his colorful turban to his outfit. Gurpreet showed off his classical Indian musical training and got a golden ticket in the process. Look out for him and one of his 40 turbans in Hollywood.

Smooth, soul singer Ashlee Feliciano inspired Nicki — and trust me, that’s hard to do. Not only was her family’s back story of adopting and fostering medically complex children inspiring, but also her voice was noteworthy. As Ashlee sang Corinne Bailey Rae‘s “Put Your Records On,” it was hard for me to remember the show has a full season to go and can’t just end right here with her.

Hearing-impaired Angela Miller was another of my personal favorites of the night. Angela has suffered hearing problems her whole life and even has 40-percent hearing loss in one ear — but trust me, you’d never know it. She belted out “Mamma Knows Best” and provoked smiles from all four judges — and myself.

Did Nicki Minaj & Mariah Carey Get Along?

Let’s be honest: We all were dying to see the battle of the divas, and Nicki and Mariah did not disappoint. From making faces at each other, calling each other unpleasant names and arguing over who is more fabulous, let’s just say no one wanted to be in Keith’s seat!

Notoriously divalicious Mariah made it clear it was still all about her. “I’d rather look at pictures of myself,” Mimi said she flipped through pictures of her and a contestant from a music camp. Nicki responded appropriately with rolled eyes.

But Mariah wasn’t the only diva on set, as Nicki seemed to have forgotten she wasn’t Kate Middleton. From time to time, she switched into a British accent for no reason at all. Mariah quickly attempted to put Nicki in place saying, “We’re not going to do the British thing.” Oh, but we did, Mariah.

Although Keith joined Randy on the bland bandwagon, Nicki and Mariah made sure to make up for the guys’ boringness.

Overall my personal favorite moment was when Mariah called Nicki out for not knowing a quote from Mean Girls. Oh the horror.

Is the next Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood or Phillip Phillips among one of the 41 contestants from NYC who made it through to Hollywood? Can we count on Nicki and Mariah to keep us entertained all season? Guess we’ll have to wait to see!

– Caitlin Miller

TVLine: American Idol Season 12 Premiere Recap: Prepare for Shock and Claws

thumbnail American Idol Season 12 Premiere Recap: Prepare for Shock and Claws
Jan 17th 2013, 03:08

When Nicki Minaj’s eyebrow speaks, you’d better pay attention.

Sometimes it raises itself up — like a King Cobra — threatening to strike out at those who dare to disagree with its master. Other times it furrows comically, framing a sarcastic side-eye directed at the stream of divaness emanating from She Who Has Sold As Many Albums as Everyone Who’s Ever Come Off of Idol Combined*. (*At least that’s what Ryan Seacrest tells us.)

Occasionally, it softens, because it understands that just because a 15-year-old boy with no singing talent has the nerve to be Asian and wear thick-framed glasses on national television doesn’t mean he should be pilloried in the public square while the town bullies administer a wedgie of cataclysmic proportions. (In fact, sometimes, all this kind of kid really needs is a hug.)

Once in a while, it spazzes out — because it’s not getting enough attention underneath the cotton-candy wigs and band-leader hats and 20-ply false eyelashes, and it really, really, really likes getting attention.

Still, after watching American Idol‘s very promising Season 12 premiere, I’m pretty certain of one thing: No matter how Nicki Minaj and her expressive eyebrow perform over the next several months, she’s not going to “save” the show from its annual ratings slippage — oh how 99 percent of programs wish they had those kinds of problems! — nor will she “destroy” The House That Kelly Clarkson Built. Nor will The Lady Carey, she of the gigantic voice, fragile ego, keen ear and penchant for delicious bitchery. Or the other new judge, Keith Urban, who’s got great hair and a sweet, thoughtful demeanor.

That’s because, as every die-hard Idoloonie knows, Fox’s ubiquitous singing competition will always live or die based on its contestants.

This message was reinforced, in a maniacal stroke of genius, in the opening seconds of Season 12, with a quiet shot of a lonely stool in the center of a concert hall. Cut to an acoustic guitar. An amp. An old-fashioned mic. And Season 11 winner Phillip Phillips, singing “Home,” the monster hit with the “ooooh ooooh-ooooh ooh-ooh-ooh” chorus you’ve had stuck in your head since McKayla Maroney landed that spectacular vault during the 2012 Summer Olympics. And then, finally, the voice of Ryan Seacrest, booming the reminder: ”Last summer, you turned a pawn-shop worker into a mega-star!” Yes indeedy! (Quick poll: How many times have you played “Home” on iTunes? My playcount stands at 53.)

Okay, so maybe Seacrest’s declaration that ”together, we’ll take the journey that defines a nation” stepped over the border of hyperbole and into the land of utter absurdity, but by his own admission, the host with the most has been “tired for 10 years,” so let’s cut him a little bit of slack (something Emmy voters never seem to do).

But back to the contestants…since that’s what it’s really all about. The Season 12 premiere gave us extended footage of eight promising Golden Ticket recipients — including a few voices with possible superstar potential. Better still, for the first time in Idol history, we saw multiple examples of the judges voting “no” to moderately talented auditioners with super-compelling backstories. Sure, there was the annual Let’s Make Fun of a Guy With a Foreign Accent interlude, but there was also an end-of-episode tryout involving a radiant young woman and her medically complex foster siblings that had my eyes spilling over with tears (and I don’t think it’s merely because my hubby and I have been fostering kids ourselves for the last couple of years).

Anyhow, I’ll be back overnight to update this URL with a full episode recap with descriptions of every contestant — bookmark, refresh, and enjoy! — but until then, let me turn things over to you. What did you think of the American Idol Season 12 premiere? What did you think of the new judges’ panel? And who was your favorite Golden Ticket recipient? Jan 17th 2013, 03:05

The former ‘American Idol’ judge has announced that her first child will be welcomed through gestational surrogacy in the next few weeks! What great news!

Kara DioGuardi may not be involved with American Idol anymore, but the former judge made an exciting announcement of her own on the day of the show’s 12th season premiere! Kara has confirmed on Jan. 16 that she and husband Mike McCuddy are expecting a baby boy through a gestational surrogate within the next few weeks!

In a statement to People, Kara confirms the upcoming birth of her first child. “We are eagerly awaiting the healthy and happy birth of our son Greyson James Carroll McCuddy.” The couple, who were married in 2009, struggled for years with fertility issues and many failed IVF attempts. Eventually, they decided to explore alternative routes to parenthood, including adoption and surrogacy.

After their exploration, Kara says, “We made a personal decision to try with a surrogate. I asked someone we knew, a friend. And on the first try, it worked. We’re praying for our surrogate, that she gets through this and that it’s as easy on her as it can possibly be, because she’s been a gem throughout the whole process. I’ve got two people on my mind: her and the baby. She’s given us this incredible gift.”

Kara DioGuardi’s Secret Baby Prep

Kara seems to have been making preparations to welcome Greyson into her life, as it was reported on Jan. 3 that she enormous mansion in Studio City, CA for $6.3 million just before the end of 2012. She has bought the home in 2007 for $3.5 million, making herself quite a pretty profit.

According to the Daily Mail, Kara had been diving her time between L.A. and a property in Maine, where she now plans on spending the majority of her time. Sounds like the perfect place to raise a child!

Our most heartfelt congratulations go out to Kara and Mike!

TVLine: The Office: Who's Coming Back? Who's Fired? Plus: The Cast Looks Back Fondly at 9 Seasons

TV News, Previews, Spoilers, Casting Scoop, Interviews
thumbnail The Office: Who's Coming Back? Who's Fired? Plus: The Cast Looks Back Fondly at 9 Seasons
Jan 17th 2013, 02:51

Emotions were running high on Wednesday when members of the media dropped by the set of The Office for one last visit with the cast of the departing comedy.

Most of the press conference-style interview with stars John Krasinski, Jenna Fischer, Rainn Wilson and showrunner Greg Daniels, to name a few, was spent reminiscing about the past nine years. But the group did drop a few select, series-ending scooplets, including the names of some returning familiar faces (alas, not Steve Carell), a tease for a shocking ouster of sorts and more.

ROAD TO WRAP-UP | Daniels had advice for lapsed fans who might be waiting until the very end to tune back in: Hop back on board now. “If you look at how many characters we have here and you think that [the finale] will be our 200th half hour, I don’t think we are planning on packing everything into the last episode,” he explained. In fact, the installment airing a week from this Thursday marks “the beginning of the end, where we start to break down what’s going on with this documentary and see [the] behind the scenes of who’s involved.”

IN-FLUX FINALE | As for what fans can expect in The Office‘s final hour, even Daniels isn’t completely sure. “There’s an idea,” he noted, “but it’s a very collaborative process. Every time we have a table read and somebody comes up with a better idea than we have in the script, it pulls the story forward a little bit and we have to invent something at the end.” He added, “We do have a goal that we’re aiming for, how we get there is changing.”

RELATED | The Office Boss: Retooled Spin-Off Episode Will Still Air – and Change Up the Dwangela Plan

SHOCKING SENDOFF | “Someone is fired” in Episode 15, Daniels revealed, adding only: “There’s drama, and someone has to pay for it.”

THAT’S WHAT HE SAID… AGAIN | Once more, Daniels reasserted that Carell would not return to his old stomping grounds before the series’ swan song. (Bummer.) The showrunner maintained that “Steve is very much of the opinion that the ‘Goodbye Michael’ episode and the story arc that we did leading up to it was his goodbye and end to the show, and that [this season] is the goodbye the rest of the show gets to have.” So presently, there still aren’t “any plans for him to come back.” Cushioning the blow a bit, the EP promised: “There are still a lot of good things that we have planned for the rest of the goodbyes,” including giving each character his or her own “really good, interesting sendoff.”

WELCOME BACK, KALING & CO. | Carell, Schmarell! The Office‘s final installments will see comebacks from more than a few friendly faces. “In an upcoming episode, Zach Woods (Gabe) comes back,” Daniels shared. “Mindy [Kaling] and B.J. [Novak] should be in the finale, and we’re talking about possibly another episode — although Mindy’s in production of [The Mindy Project].” Ken Kwapis, who directed the series’ pilot episode, among others, will also return to direct the two-part finale.

LOVERS’ QUARREL | As we previously reported, expect “some conflict” between Andy and Erin when the Ivy League grad is back in town, Ed Helms previews. “I mean, he left her on a boat for a long time,” Ellie Kemper added with a laugh. “There’s room for tension.”

And in non-spoilery news, the cast took some time to look back at the past nine years and shared some of their favorite moments and lessons learned. As a huge fan of The Office, I felt obliged to pass their sentiments along.

ON DUNDER MIFFLIN TRINKETS THEY’D LIKE TO KEEP

ED HELMS | ”I actually really want Andy’s Cornell diploma for some reason. I really like that.”
ANGELA KINSEY | ”I have my eye on about three of Angela’s cat figurines.”
PHYLLIS SMITH | ”I want my first Dundie, for ‘Bushiest Beaver.’”
JENNA FISHCER | ”I want Pam’s watercolor that Michael bought at her art show. And the receptionist sign — even though I don’t sit there anymore.”
RAINN WILSON |I want Dwight’s car.”

ON THEIR FAVORITE EPISODES :

ELLIE KEMPER | ”Mine was ‘Dinner Party.’”
KINSEY | ”I love the first Christmas episode. That’s one of my all-time favorites. We had Yankee Swap and Angela Martin got that poster of the babies.”
WILSON | ”I like ‘The Injury’ from Season 2. I know that’s a big fan favorite as well, but it’s just such a classic in my mind. Dwight getting in a car accident and throwing up on his car, [and] his personality changing and forming a friendship with Pam…”
FISCHER | I was going to say ‘The Injury’ as well. I really love the episodes where Pam and Dwight become friends. We just did one, actually, where Pam and Dwight team up for a common goal, and while we were shooting it I realized this is probably the last one of those stories we’ll do… You can only have so many, right?”

ON WHY THEY’VE STUCK WITH THE SHOW SO LONG, EVEN WITH BIG-SCREEN SUCCESSES

JOHN KRASINSKI | ”I think that this show and this job is a gift, [and] we all knew it from the beginning. We feel so lucky. It sounds cliche, but it’s totally true. This is one of those jobs that you don’t wait until your time’s over; you beg every single year to come back and you hold on to the cuff of people’s pants until they bring you back. [Laughs] It’s more exciting than anything else to come back to this show. It’s not something you give up on. It feels like you’re all in it together. I don’t think I ever felt a moment of anybody feeling like this was [just] an opportunity for bigger things. If bigger things came, great, and we’d all fully support it. But to come back was the real dream and the real goal. I felt more honored to be a part of this show than anything else I’ve done.”

ON HOW THE MORE THINGS CHANGE, THE MORE THEY STAY THE SAME

FISCHER | “We still feel about each other – and see each other — through the eyes of those first-season relationships… It seems the same.”
WILSON | ”John [Krasinski] and Jenna [Fischer] and Steve [Carell] and I went out to lunch when we were shooting the pilot and we were having this conversation about, ‘Can you imagine if the show got picked up? How cool that would be?’ And one of us said, ‘What if it went for a season or more? What if we actually did a full run of this show?!’ We [all knew] that it would change our lives and would be incredible and that these are the roles we’d be known for for the rest of our lives. It’s so weird now, nine years later, [having] that lunch coming true. People have asked me what I’m going to miss most and it’s really clear to me: This is my other family. This is where I’ve been coming for nine years, and I love all of these people. We’ve grown up together; we’ve had children, we’ve gotten married, we’ve gotten divorced, we’ve cried together, we’ve fought a little bit — not like Grey’s Anatomy [Laughs] — and that’s really what I’ll miss the most. We went from goofy kids nine years ago to the giant, megalomaniac TV stars you see in front of you. [Laughs]“

Hollywood Life: Taylor Swift’s Controlling Behavior With Harry Styles Revealed — Report

Jan 17th 2013, 02:04

Could Taylor have tried to dictate too much in her relationship with Harry, pushing him away? That’s what a new report claims! Read on for all the details.

There are several theories circling over just what it was that caused Taylor Swift and Harry Styles to break up. Could it have been Taylor’s controlling behavior that drove her One Direction beau away? According to OK!, it is!

The magazine reports that Taylor, 23, was too intense for Harry, 18. “They had fun, but the pressure was way too much, and Harry couldn’t handle the intense scrutiny,” an insider says. “Sure, he’s dated famous women before, but Taylor was on a whole other lever. Harry was being told what to wear and he was under strict instruction to not talk about his girlfriend. Anyone who knows Harry knows that’s impossible!”

Taylor Swift’s Begging For Another Chance With Harry Styles

According to another report in Us Weekly, Taylor’s regretting the break-up big time and texting hunky Harry in an attempt to woo him back! "She was a wreck and torn up," a friend of Taylor's tells the magazine. Taylor was texting Harry furiously to apologize for dumping him, but he "wouldn't call her back. He thinks she's too emotional."

Us Weekly details how the split came about while the couple was vacationing on the Virgin Islands. "The trip was a surprise. He planned it and whisked her away," a source says.

Harry’s Bad Move

After they spent some romantic time together on Jan. 3, Harry decided he wanted some alone time, which is when things fell apart. "He got drunk and left Taylor on their boat for a few hours without telling her where he was going," says a source.

When Harry finally returned, Taylor was reportedly "crying and furious." She thought that leaving Harry on the island would open him up to how he had hurt her, but it backfired on her! "She wanted to teach Harry a lesson; she expected him to call and apologize," the source says. "He didn't."

Do you think Taylor was too controlling in her relationship with Harry, HollywoodLifers?

OK!

Dec 5th 2001, 00:00

Kris has been playing hardball with both Kim and Kanye West, and according to a new report, the NBA star refuses to grant the reality TV queen a divorce by torturing and laughing at her. Read on for details!

You would think Kris Humphries is a baseball player by the way he’s playing hardball with Kim Kardashian! According to a report in Us Weekly, Kris, 27, refuses to divorce Kim, 32, and deliberately postpones court meetings in an effort to stall the entire case.

“Kris’ friends say he laughs about pushing back depositions because that stalls the whole case,” a source connected to Kim tells the publication.

In fact, Kris’ tactics went further than Kim when he brings Kanye West into the picture, demanding he be deposed in an effort to reveal information about his new relationship with Kim.

“Kanye did the deposition for Kim and was proud to do so,” another source who’s connected to the 18-time Grammy winner tells Us. “Kanye is [still] very frustrated.”

Kim Kardashian & Kanye West’s Baby Prep

Despite the 35-year-old rapper’s frustration that the soon-to-be mother of his child remains tangled in her previous relationship, the couple are still moving forward and preparing for the little bundle of joy.

As HollywoodLife.com previously reported, Kimye aren’t cutting costs when it comes to their first baby together!

The couple recently dropped $11-million on an uber exclusive Bel Air mansion and the crib is complete with everything they need to live happily ever after — especially a tricked-out nursery for their newborn!

Details On Kimye’s New Mansion

A source close to the couple took us inside the mansion by revealing exclusively to HollywoodLife.com what it’s like from the inside.

"It's a big place and all the bedrooms are pretty big," the insider said about their new home. "Kanye walked through it with a hard hat on and was like, 'this will be nice.' But their biggest concern is making comfortable, sexy and safe their kid."

Chime in, HollywoodLifers. Will Kris stop playing games with Kim any time soon?

On tonight’s Suburgatory (ABC, 9:30/8:30c), Tessa will once again find herself surprised by the adorably dim-witted Ryan when he brings her comfort as she recuperates from getting her wisdom teeth out. But the gesture is not without some strings.

As you can see in this exclusive video, he wants to give their would-be romance a shot.

“Ever since you slammed your tongue into mine, I’ve been thinking about what it meant to you — if anything,” he says.

“We’re total opposites,” Tessa counters. But Ryan only sees that as a positive “because opposites don’t push each other apart. They… they… do the other thing.”

TVLine: Glee Scoop: Heather Morris Says Brittany-Santana Are Done; Plus: Who's Blaine's New 'Friend'?

Romance is in the air on Glee.

When TVLine visited the show’s set on Wednesday, McKinley High and Rachel and Kurt’s New York City loft were decked out with Valentine’s Day balloons and decorations. Read on to find out what the cast and executive producer Dante Di Loreto had to say about the big episode, as well as graduation part deux, who’s getting back together, who’s staying broken up and more.

HERE COMES THE BRIDE | Referring to the whiteboard in the choir room with W-word written on it, Di Loreto confirmed, "There is a wedding in the air. What is exciting about this show is there are certain things about that are undeniable. There are certain things that you could sit home and think, I really want this to happen." While all signs point to Will and Emma being the couple heading down the aisle, the EP noted, "There are some things that are going to shock the heck out of you."

KLAINE CLEARS THE AIR | While Darren Criss believes "it’s good to have some troubled water," he’s hoping for a Blaine and Kurt reconcilation… eventually. "Of course I want to see them together in the end," he said. Following the Q&A, the actor revealed that the former lovebirds, who got some closure during the Christmas outing, will "suss out" their relationship status. "The coming episodes address that uncertainty," he added. "They’re trying to define what they are." In the meantime, Kurt will get a new love interest in the form of Oliver Kieran-Jones as the head of NYADA’s glee club, Adam’s Apples. "I don’t know if Blaine necessarily knows about [him]," said Criss, who says Blaine “strikes [up] a new relationship, not a romantic relationship – or maybe it is – with somebody who’s already been around, who is now more involved in Blaine’s life. They’ve kind of taken a new step in their relationship."

BRITTANA NO MORE | Prepare yourself, Brittany/Santana lovers, because it doesn’t sound like the twosome will rekindle their romance anytime soon. "They’re friends, but they won’t get back together," said Heather Morris. While the Cheerios were once in love and as close as can be, the actress thinks "it’s good that [Santana] moved on and gave me room to figure it out because I don’t think that they were great for each other. They’re best friends, but I think Sam gives her more room to just be herself. That’s a lot of fun. Santana was so serious for her that she really just couldn’t be weird."

HERE TO STAY | Rachel’s NYC love interest, Brody, does not appear to be going anywhere. "We hope to keep [his portrayer Dean Geyer] around [on the show] for a while," said Di Loreto. "We think he’s incredibly sexy. He sings and dances, as well. It’s a really interesting storyline. The show has blossomed creatively this year, being able to travel back and forth between New York and Lima. And we love having him here." But perhaps not all hope is lost for Finchel lovers. After all, Di Loreto teased that "romance is going to play a part in [Finn's] future."

GRADUATION DAY: THE SEQUEL | As the end of Season 4 nears, so does the end of high school for seniors Tina, Artie, Brittany and Blaine. So where will they end up? "I wouldn’t be surprised if another cast member or a few other cast members find them[selves] in New York [next season]," said Di Loreto. "That story has yet to reveal itself, but it seems [like] one of those natural conclusions. They’re all going to different places, just like we all do in high school, and hopefully those are stories that we can blossom." Morris has her own unexpected idea for where she’d like to see her alterego to end up: "I want her to go to jail,” she shared.. “I think it’d be the best story ever!"
